The Effluent Treatment Plant treats the newsprint mill’s 11 MLD effluent to the requirements of the Department of Environment (DOE).

Tenaga Tiub is the EPC (Turnkey) Contractor responsible for Process, Engineering Design, Civil and Structural works, supply and installation of all tanks, cooling towers, process pumps, valves, piping including electrical works, process control and instrumentation system. The biological treatment process design is from our partner USF Aquaflow of Finland and is the most up to date technology available for treatment of paper mill effluent.

The construction of ponds for aeration, spill and retention are based on earth basins protected by HDPE membranes / concrete slab.
